MD13 OH1 2022-2023 District Project

Walk a Mile in My Shoes

Goal: $20,000 in donations for Pediatric Cancer Research and Treatment from District OH1.

Process:

  1. Community Action Grant to Ebeid Children’s Hospital of Pro-Medica Toledo Network

    1. $5000

  2. Donations to Ohio Lions Pediatric Cancer Foundation

    1. From individual clubs towards Journey of Hope recognition

      1. A cumulative donation of $500 from one club or individual earns a Journey of Hope Statuette

    2. Send check made out to “Ohio Lions Pediatric Cancer Foundation” to:

PDG John Davis, 933 Thornapple Lane, Findlay, Ohio 45840

  1. Walk a Mile – Donate $10 a member to OH1 STEPS (OH1 has 1440 Lions)

    1. Club holds a STEPS walk of their own selected distance and raises $10 per club member

    2. Send check made out to “MD13 OH1” to: PDG John Davis, 933 Thornapple Lane, Findlay, Ohio 45840 or bring donation to OH1 District Convention on April 14-15, 2023.

Assessment:

Total monies raised by District Convention on April 15, 2023, divided equally between Ebeid Children’s Oncology Programs and Ohio Lions Pediatric Cancer Foundation.

Motivation:

Giving is not just about making a donation. It is about making a difference.
